The Happy Chef

Meet Don the butcher. He butches at Sal’s Diner. His days never gets better, or worse. Today he’s gonna have an unpredictable day. he just doesn’t know it.

This morning, Don couldn’t catch a bus. So he tried looking for a motorbike ride to the diner. But the same thing happened. There were none. Then a cab driver saw him desperate to get on a ride. The cab drove near to him and the driver said, ” Hop on! free for a pal! You wanna get to Sal’s?” Don answered, ” Well yes thankyou! But what do you mean by pal?” the cab driver replied, ” Don’t you recognize me? I am your uncle, Don!” Don said ” uncle Morthy? long time no see, ” Then uncle Morthy drove him to Sal’s diner.

At Sal’s, Sal gave a raise to Don, ” Don, do you like being a butcher? If someone offers you another job, would you accept it? let’s just say, being a hotel cook?, ” Don answered ” Oh, sure I will!” Sal said, ” Don, I’m buying a hotel, and I need a cook. It’s 75.00 dollars a week. Will you take it?” Don said, “of course Mr. Sal! Where?” Sal replied, “Just right beside your humble home..” Don is as happy as one can be.

He walked home for the exercise. As he walked near Carl Shady’s house, Don glimpsed at the door, and saw his all time idol, Chef Satly Quinn! Totally unpredictably, Satly walked to Don with her entourage. “here, I give you half my entourage. So you can feel what I feel, so many people following me everywhere. How do you say we have lunch sometime?” Don replied, “Okay, it’s a date”

From that day on, people liked Don better. But one person hated Don even more: Aunt Gracie. She was always hoping Don will become an educator, religious, and will end up being a monk. But that was the opposite of what Don wanted. He wanted to have a free life, but still help people by some way. And that’s how he became a chef.
